Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PayProof ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. PayProof is operated by PayProof SRL ("we", "us", "our"), registered in Romania.

2. Description of Service

PayProof is a job marketplace platform that connects job seekers ("Candidates") with hiring companies ("Employers") through AI-powered matching, salary transparency, and a micro-transaction model. Features include CV processing, salary browsing, job offer matching, bid wars, messaging, and wallet management.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use most Platform features. You may register via email (magic link) or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to update it as needed. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.

4. Candidate Terms

As a Candidate, you may upload your CV, receive job offers, participate in bid wars, and communicate with Employers. You acknowledge that: (a) your CV data will be processed by AI to generate summaries and match scores; (b) your profile is presented anonymously to Employers until you choose to reveal your identity; (c) micro-fees apply to unlock offers and respond to them, as displayed at the time of the action; (d) participation in bid wars is automatic when multiple Employers compete for your profile.

5. Employer Terms

As an Employer, you may post job listings, receive AI-matched candidates, unlock CVs, and send offers. You acknowledge that: (a) job listings must be for genuine employment opportunities; (b) micro-fees apply for unlocking CVs, sending offers, raising offers, and messaging; (c) auto-bid configurations are binding — automated raises will deduct from your wallet; (d) you may not use candidate data for purposes other than recruitment for the listed position.

6. Wallet & Payments

The Platform uses a prepaid wallet system. You may top up your wallet via Stripe (credit/debit card). All transactions are in USD internally, with display in your preferred currency. Wallet balances are non-transferable between users. Refunds for unused wallet balance may be requested within 30 days of the last top-up. Transaction fees are non-refundable once an action is completed (e.g., unlocking an offer).

7. Pricing & Fees

PayProof uses dynamic micro-pricing. Fees are displayed before each action and vary based on market conditions (e.g., number of competing employers). Current fee ranges: offer unlock ($0.01–$0.08), offer response ($0.005–$0.05), bid war raise ($0.01–$0.05 per round), CV unlock (variable), messaging (first message free after offer, subsequent messages paid). We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice.

8. Salary Data

Salary data submitted by users is provided on a voluntary, anonymous basis. PayProof does not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted salary data. Contributors earn 40% of unlock revenue generated by their submissions. By submitting salary data, you represent that it is truthful to the best of your knowledge.

9. AI Processing

The Platform uses artificial intelligence for CV summarization, job-candidate matching, and search. AI-generated outputs (summaries, match scores, recommendations) are assistive and may contain errors. PayProof is not responsible for employment decisions made based on AI outputs. You may request human review of any AI-generated content relating to your account.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You may not: (a) create fake profiles, CVs, or job listings; (b) manipulate bid wars through collusion or shill bidding; (c) use the Platform for discrimination based on protected characteristics; (d) scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data; (e) interfere with Platform operations; (f) use candidate data for unsolicited marketing; (g) share your account with others; (h) attempt to circumvent payment requirements.

11. Intellectual Property

The Platform, its design, code, and AI models are owned by PayProof SRL. You retain ownership of your content (CVs, job listings, messages). By uploading content, you grant PayProof a non-exclusive license to process, store, and display it for Platform operations. This license terminates when you delete your account, subject to backup retention policies.

12. Limitation of Liability

PayProof is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for: (a) employment outcomes; (b) accuracy of salary data or AI outputs; (c) actions of other users; (d) loss of wallet funds due to your negligence. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to PayProof in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, remaining wallet balance (if any) will be refunded within 30 days, minus any pending obligations. Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and the European Union. Disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Bucharest, Romania, unless EU consumer protection law provides otherwise. For EU consumers, the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms by posting the revised version on the Platform. Material changes will be communicated via email 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
